MarkIt is a high-powered output alternative to XPress' standard registration and crop marks. Using MarkIt is similar to setting up an XPress style sheet, but rather than assigning text attributes, you create an output "style".Each MarkIt Style has an ideal trim size, though a MarkIt Style will adjust to the output page size. There are five user-definable fields in the dialog which control the Registration Mark Area, the current mark's X and Y position, and the Magnification of the document.
MarkIt also supports an unlimited number of EPS graphics as marks. A scrollable list containing three styles of marks; trim marks, text marks and EPS marks. The XTension ships with a variety of crop and bleed marks to choose from and allows for weight control of trim lines and crop marks. In addition to unlimited magnification from 25% to 300%, MarkIt offers the ability to preview just the marks or the XPress page with the marks in place. There are also controls for printing marks on spot colour plates. When printing spreads, MarkIt automatically adjusts the marks to fit the spread page size and place fold marks where the inner spread pages meet. MarkIt lets you make your mark with style.
